Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program

Ferry Hill Center’s  Camp Counselor Training and Development Program is  for  students entering the 8th and 9th grade giving them transferable skills such as leadership, communication, organization and  problem solving. We seek responsible children who are willing to learn and be helpful.  CIT program applicants will register for camp and then complete an intake interview with our Camp Staff.  

What our CIT campers will gain:

• Create friendships
•  Develop leadership skills  
•  Build self-confidence 
• Become a role model and share knowledge with younger campers
• Be part of the Ferry Hill Summer Camp team with opportunities for future counselor positions

Training consists of three weeks - one week of mandatory training and two other weeks of your  choice. 

Training Weeks:

CIT 2: 06/27-07/01 (second year CIT's)

CIT 1: 07/11-07/15 (first year CIT's)

CITs also receive training in safety and techniques for dealing with and resolving conflict. 

Cost is $375 for the three weeks. Additional CIT weeks are available for $100 per week.
